Dominance Wars is a game art competition that runs between some of the biggest CG forums on the web, Cgtalk (www.cgsociety.org forums), 3d Total (www.3dtotal.com), CGLand (www.CGLand.com) Polycount (www.polycount.com) and Game Artisians (www.gameartisians.com) to name afew.
The quality of art in the competition over the previous years has just got better and better. One of the most interesting features of the competition is that it shows the development of the character right from concept to intergration using a work in progress system the participants are required to follow. Some top gear in both 3d and 2d art and always great inspiration.

Was talking to Paul Moore and Robin Hodge yesterday about this video and looked it up again. Still looks as fantastic as it did when I saw it first. It was released before the same artist did the Nizlopy- JCB song video which is also absolutely brilliant.
His website has these along with a series of animations called Low Morale. Check it out here>> http://www.lowmorale.co.uk/ <<
I’m very impressed let me tell ya!

Cg society has just produced a really nice article outlining their memebers list of the top 100 3d movies ever. Take a look see here: http://features.cgsociety.org/story_custom.php?story_id=4402&page=1

I just bought this game and Gears of War for the PC at the same time and they will not run on this computer! Now I have a really good computer with a 512mb FireGL card and 4 megs of ram with a duel core 2.4 Intel processor and it still will not run either of these games! They’re running on the desktop I bought from Lidl about a year ago though and they do look sweet! This laptop 3000 odd quid, the one from lidl around 800… go figure!
Anyway here’s an a article on the art team behind the game. Just love the image above! Linked to from the article is a higher res image of it you should take a look at. The detail of the modelling is incredible!
